Imagine being in the middle of a gravel event, miles from the nearest road and suddenly you hear a disconcerting hiss and realise that your trusty gravel tyre has developed a hole. If you were a pro road racer, you would just hold your hand up in the air and a neutral service motorbike or your own team car would soon arrive to help you out. In a gravel event though, you're expected to either fix your own problem or get yourself to the nearest paved road. Until now that is. Drumroll please. The curtains pull back to reveal Schwalbe's latest tool in the fight against event-ending mechanicals - an off-road neutral service cargo bike, fitted with their latest Smart Sam Cargo bike tyres. 

Anyone who has ever ridden a cargo bike will describe the same feeling - initial mild apprehension at how long/heavy are, followed rapidly by a feeling of immense happiness. Generally it's only the rider that gets the über-happy feeling, but we suspect that if Christoph arrived on scene while you were dealing with a mini mechanical disaster, it wouldn't just be him smiling!
