The Gravel Union IT fairies are beavering away behind the scenes to create a shiny new events calendar for our website, but in the mean time we thought we would showcase some of the amazing gravel events that have landed in our inbox recently.

Piemont Gravel – April 4th 2025

The Piemont Gravel is a non-competitive 'unsupported' cycling adventure dedicated to Gravel and MTB. The event, the result of a thirty-year exploration project of the territory, stars the lands of Langa and Roero, a UNESCO heritage site, but also the flat territories of the Cuneese, the moren lakes of Avigliana and the panoramic Turin hills. Plains, hills and pre-alps. 4 routes, over 1000km. The great landscape variety of the territory translates into the variety of our paths. You will travel dirt roads, bike paths but also technical routes, single track and mule tracks. The little asphalt is resolved into suggestive and un-trafficked secondary roads. Get ready to discover a land where every ride crosses soft hills and centuries-old vineyards, following the waters of the Po through glimpses full of charm. Historic villages and castles dot the landscape, while the lakes and roads tell a nature that invites adventure and discovery. A food and wine trip - You will taste cheeses that contain the tradition of those who produced them, to discover the donor territories of the sap that makes the most valuable hazelnuts in the world, to sip refined wines such as Barolo and Nebbiolo, and you will taste unique chocolates such as Gianduiotto. In short, get ready to discover territories where food and wine reigns.

Supergrevet – July & August 2025

We’re excited to introduce you to Supergrevet 2025—two legendary ultra-distance gravel cycling events that blend the spirit of cycling’s rich history with modern adventure, sustainability, and community engagement. Supergrevet 2025 is not just another gravel ride—it’s a celebration of the pioneering spirit of cycling. The Vienna–Berlin and Vienna–Trieste routes honour some of the earliest long-distance cycling events from the late 19th century, offering participants a chance to trace the paths of the first gravel riders and challenge themselves on unforgettable routes:

  • Vienna–Berlin (August 23, 2025): 800 km with 7,000 meters of elevation gain, retracing the historic 1893 Distanzradfahrt Wien–Berlin, one of the first ultra-distance challenges.
  • Vienna–Trieste (July 26, 2025): 550 km with 11,000 meters of elevation gain, a nod to the 1892 Distanzradfahrt Wien–Triest, combining Alpine climbs and Mediterranean charm.

These rides are self-supported, bringing back the raw, independent spirit of cycling from the era before paved roads and team support. Riders must rely on their own skills and endurance—mirroring the ethos of early gravel pioneers. In addition to these iconic routes, we are launching the Grevet Series in 2025, celebrating its 5th year with 20 regional gravel events across Germany and Austria. These events unite local cyclists, promote regional engagement, and foster a deep connection with Europe’s diverse landscapes. Why Grevet? At Grevet, we believe in making cycling accessible, sustainable, and community driven. By incorporating cargo bikes for event logistics and prioritizing CO₂-neutral operations, we ensure every pedal stroke contributes to a greener future. We’re committed to engaging diverse communities and empowering riders to push their limits while experiencing the beauty of Europe’s outdoors.
