In an era where the vast majority of cycling media is digital only, discovering a new-to-us print magazine is a real pleasure. Golden Ride magazine have already published more than 70 editions, but we only just found them! With that perfect combination of stunning imagery, thought-provoking stories and of course, the beautiful sensation of having a high quality print magazine in your hands, we can highly recommend getting hold of a copy. Read on to find out more.
The magazine, which is published quarterly, is aimed at a female audience and created by a small team of three, two of whom are women. Each edition has a different theme and Issue 70 is focussed on gravel. Amazingly, each of the latest editions are printed in both German and English language versions and you can buy them mail-order from their website.
In the current issue are stories on bikepacking in Morocco, riding the Great Peru Divide trail, racing Unbound XL, Wiebke Lühmann’s amazing Africa adventure (which we covered at Gravel Union too) and a great story about custom bike painting.
