Gravel Inspiration – RadRace 96hours

“Strap everything you need to your gravel bike and follow us on this midsummer adventure”. That’s the sales pitch for the RadRace 96hours gravel bikepacking event due to be held in Sweden in June. Have the organisers hooked you in with their strap line? If so, read on to find out more….

What is the RadRace 96hours event all about? The organisers describe it as “a bikepacking adventure not a race. Unless you want it to be.” The 600km route heads from Gothernburg to Malmö, taking in 6000m of climbing along the way. And you have 96 hours to complete the course.

The 96hours is an unsupported event, but participants will be provided with a GPX route file, as well as technical service at the start/finish, transport of bikebag/hand luggage from Gothenburg to the finish in Malmö, a finisher bag, an event t-shirt and a “proud fist bump after arriving in Malmö”

For super speedy riders who beat the 96hours time limit and who would like to hang out in Malmö after they finish, the organisers have arranged an area for post-ride camping so you can “celebrate every finisher together with us.”
