Coffee and cycling are practically synonymous, whether it’s a pre-ride aperitive, a mid-morning pick-me-up or a post-ride digestive. But if you are a dedicated gravel-loving coffee monster, then you obviously need the perfect gravelly coffee bean to create your brew. Luckily the lovely people at GRVL have got just the thing….
Nothing happens very efficiently at Gravel Union Towers until our caffeine levels have been appropriately topped up, so the arrival of a bidon of delicious smelling coffee beans from the team at GRVL was a cause for celebration. GRVL have joined forces with Chimney Fire Coffee to produce a limited edition run of gravel-inspired coffee beans, delivered to your doormat in a very smart (and obviously re-useable) bidon.
Chimney Fire Coffee are a B-Corp certified roastery and have a strong sustainability and eco-friendly ethos to their business. Their GRVL roast comes from a family-run farm in Brazil and is described as having a “sweet, chocolatey and nutty flavour”. GRVL are only producing 500 of their coffee bidons, with the plastic coming from recycled ocean plastic, so if you fancy topping up your caffeine levels, head on over to their webstore.
For anyone who lives in the south of the UK (or who fancies some travel gravel), GRVL are organising a gravel ride in the Surrey Hills on Saturday 22nd July. It’s starting at Chimney Fire Coffee’s HQ on the Denbies Wine Estate (not far from Boxhill railway station). Y9ou can sign-up via their website.
