Here at Gravel Union we've created ourselves a little niche, where we've decided to focus 99% on gravel riding and bikepacking, with a focus mainly on dropbar bikes. So you might wonder why we're running a story about mountain biking?

The easy answer is that in Henna Palosaari's fantastic Crossing Tusheti film, the bike actually isn't the focus - it's all about the adventure, the journey, the scenery and the people. OK, so some of the riding is very definitely MTB territory, but we think most gravel riders and bikepackers will still appreciate the ethos of the journey.
