News – Canyon launch new sub £1000 Endurace Allroad bike

It might feel at the minute like every time you look at a price tag of something you want to buy that it has gone up in price. The cycling world is certainly not immune to this, so the headline price of Canyon’s new Endurace Allroad bike should feel a bit like a beacon of positivity. Is the value of their new bike greater than just the attention grabbing headline price though? Read on to find out….

No matter how you look at it, £949/€999/US$1399 is still a big wodge of money for someone new to the sport or upgrading to their first “proper” bike, but having said that, the value for money offered by Canyon’s new Endurace Allroad is pretty amazing too:

  • Aluminium frame, available in seven sizes from 2XS to 2XL, with mount points for mudguards, rear carrier and top tube “bento box”. Clearance for up to 40mm tyres.
  • Lightweight Carbon fork. Clearance for up to 40mm tyres.
  • Shimano CUES 2x10 groupset – 50/34 chainset and 11-39 cassette offering a wide range of gears. Size specific cranks fitted.
  • Shimano CUES hydraulic disc brakes with flat mount callipers
  • Bolt-thru wheels with tubeless-ready Alex GX26P rims
  • Fitted with 700x35mm Schwalbe G-One Comp K-Guard tyres, but with clearance for up to 700x40mm.
  • Canyon own brand stem/bars/gel bar tape/Selle Royal saddle

Although Canyon have deliberately avoided labelling the Endurace Allroad as a gravel bike, it’s ready for 700x40mm tyres and is fitted with decent quality, durable components which means that for many riders new to the sport, this bike might be the perfect “gateway” to becoming a fully blown gravel riding addict!

The fact that Canyon have specced the frame and forks to have mounts for full mudguards and a rear carrier rack will also undoubtedly appeal to riders looking for a second bike to use during the winter or for doing dual-use as a weekday commuter and a weekend gravel ride.
