News – Gravelfolyle Triple Crown launched

2026 looks like it will be a great year for gravel riding fans keen to head to Aberfoyle in Scotland. The Gravelfoyle events team are putting on three events across the year, with one in March, May and September. At the end of the year, they will be crowning the official Duke and Duchess of Gravelfoyle, with the award going to the riders who come out on top of all three events. If you fancy trying to end up on the Gravelfoyle throne, then read on….

Aberfoyle offers some of the UK’s finest gravel riding opportunities and according to the Gravelfoyle event organisers “2026 is shaping up to be a banger year here in the heart of Scotland.” As well as their existing super popular Gravelfoyle 10 and Grand Old Dukes events, they’re bringing back the perennial favourite – the Dukes Weekender too, to create a triumvirate of gravelly goodness.

Here’s the low-down on the three events:

The Gravelfoyle 10 - 22nd March 2026

Riders will kick off their 2026 gravel racing season with The Gravelfoyle 10. Ten hours of golden Gravelfoyle racing in a format where strength, skill and determination are bound together with a bit of strategy and tactical thinking in a brand new location. The iconic closed gravel roads of the Three Lochs Forest Drive.

Entries for the 2026 Gravelfoyle 10 can be found here.

Grand Old Dukes - 31st May 2026

Grand Old Dukes is now firmly established as the toughest gravel challenge in the UK. We are growing every year, with our 2025 G.O.D seeing 550 riders grab tickets in record time to this sold-out event. 2026 is looking to be our biggest yet.

For riders looking for a shorter distance our 'Demi-G.O.D’ route offers a half-distance taster on the same day.

You can enter The Grand Old Dukes here.

Gravelfoyle Weekender - 12th/13th September 2026

The iconic Weekender is back due to popular demand! Last run in 2023 to a sell out 700 riders, 2026 will see the return of the ‘Dukes Weekender’ Enduro with a brand new spin as the ‘Gravelfoyle Weekender’, a race for riders of all abilities. We'll roll out our popular kids races on Saturday and our infamous enduro format across the weekend.

September will see hundreds more gravel enthusiasts head to Aberfoyle, AKA Gravelfoyle, with riders travelling from the whole of the UK, America and Europe to enjoy our beautiful trails.

Head to the Dukes Weekender homepage for all event details.

Event Directors Beth Legg and Kerry MacPhee said “We’re really chuffed to be bringing back The Gravelfoyle Weekender and rolling this into our biggest year yet. Our events help us deliver our free grass roots community events like PáircRide and Gravelfoyle Grrls and we’re thrilled to have such a healthy calendar on our doorstep.”
