News - United in Gravel Weekender 2024

The United in Gravel Weekender is being held at the 'cycling hub' of the Benelux in Valkenburg, The Netherlands over the weekend of Friday 26th April to Sunday 28th April.

  • On Friday April 26 there will be the Gravel Bikes Test Event with Bike Expo and in the evening there will be the first edition of the Gravel Café Live! with guests from the gravel scene.
  • On Saturday April 27, Laurens ten Dam will host the largest gravel tour in the Netherlands with the  LtD Gravel Fest King's Day Edition.
  • Sunday, April 28, it will be about speed clay in the UCI World Series competition Gravel Fondo Limburg, where the top 25% fastest riders will qualify for the 2024 Gravel World Championships.

The base for the weekend will be the Shimano Experience Centre in Valkenberg and the organisers promise an "an attractively decorated festival site in a typical gravel atmosphere with a stretch tent bar, entertainment and food trucks."

Friday's test event will see brands such as Wilier Triestina, Merida, J. Guillem, Orbea, Specialized, Canyon, Scott, Ridley and Giant present their gravel bikes and you will be able to ride them for free on a specially waymarked 9km course. 

All you need to do is to sign up here to book your free slot. You will need to bring your own pedals with you when you come to collect your bike.

The test day is open from 10am to 5pm.
