We’re back with Episode 2 of the Gravel Union Talks podcast series and this time it’s all about racing. Our special guest on the show is Erwin Vervecken who is responsible for the forthcoming UCI Gravel World Series. Erwin was three-time World CX Champion and manages the current UCI Granfondo World Series, so is the ideal candidate to manage the new Gravel World Series. We’re also joined on the show by former-pro Laurens Ten Dam, who poses some pretty tricky questions to Erwin about the participation of pro-riders in the new UCI series.
We’re also back with our 30 second ‘elevator pitch’ segment. While this episode has been all about gravel racing on a global scale, our elevator pitch goes to the other extreme as we chat with Andrew Diprose, who co-founded the North London Dirt gravel event. We talk about the history of the event, the benefit the event has generated for a local charity and what you can expect in next year’s event, which is scheduled for the 7th May and will again be supported by the Gravel Union.

Our next episode, which will be published early in the New Year, is all about Winter Riding. We're joined by Shimano Gravel Alliance rider Henna Palosaari who lives three hours north of the Arctic circle in Finland, so if anyone can give us some good tips on surviving winter as a gravel rider then she can!
